The statue was unveiled by Lieutenant General Gaurav Kumar KC, Commander of the Army's Eastern Division Headquarters. The statue was built to honor the contribution of the nation-builder Prithvi Narayan Shah and to strengthen national unity, according to the 2nd Battalion of the Nepal Army in Hile.
