The International Conference on Biodiversity, Red Panda and Thar is scheduled to be held in Diktel on April 4, 5 and 6.

Diktel Rupakot Majhuwagadhi Municipality Mayor Tirtharaj Bhattarai informed that the conference will be organized by holding a press conference on Poush 24.

According to Bhattarai, preparations are being made to organize the conference with the aim of conserving forests, environment, and biodiversity and contributing to the promotion of ecotourism by minimizing the effects of climate change. Bhattarai said that the conference will be organized by the main project of Diktel Rupakot Majhuwagadhi Municipality and the Ministry of Tourism, Forest and Environment, Koshi Province, National Parks and Wildlife Conservation Department, Kathmandu, Forest and Soil Conservation Department, Kathmandu, National Nature Conservation Trust, Kathmandu, and Tribhuvan University.

For this, preparations will be made by forming a main organizing committee under the coordination of Mayor Bhattarai and a local committee under the coordination of Ward Chairman Mugadhan Rai of Ward No. 10 Patheka.

‘The conference will feature science and mathematics exhibitions, literary and cultural programs, and exhibitions of traditional crafts and natural materials by students studying in various schools,’ said Bhattarai. ‘In addition, universities, scientists, subject experts, and educational institutions from various provinces will also participate in the exhibition.’
