With the support of Itahari Sub-metropolitan City and the active participation of the Local Consumers Committee, the building of the Area Police Office, Itahari, has been restored and handed over.

During the Genji movement, the building of the Area Police Office Itahari was completely destroyed due to arson and vandalism of public, government and private property on Bhadra 23 and 24.

After the office was destroyed, the police team that was displaced temporarily operated from the post in Itahari-20 Tharara for about three months. 

The building was repaired and minimum infrastructure was constructed through the Area Police Office Building Rehabilitation Support Committee, formed at the initiative of Itahari Sub-metropolitan City and various organizations and individuals. The senior citizen building in the Itahari stadium complex and other structures available there were repaired and reconstructed and handed over on Wednesday.

The Consumers' Committee has constructed and repaired the office chief's office, detention room, necessary quality rooms, police barracks, kitchen, toilet, drinking water and electricity connection, storage room, waiting room and reconciliation center.

The Consumers' Committee has stated that a total of Rs 5.335 lakh 807 was spent on the building repair and construction work. It is reported that the Itahari Sub-metropolitan City contributed Rs 4,437,052 and the Consumers' Committee contributed Rs 9,43,012.

Even in difficult circumstances, the construction work was completed smoothly with the support of Itahari Sub-metropolitan City, District Administration Office, District Police Office Sunsari, various organizations, public representatives and locals, informed the coordinator of the Building Reconstruction Support Committee, Santa Bahadur Dumjan.

At the program, the Four-Wheeler Vehicle Support Sub-committee, coordinated by young businessman Binod Poudel, also handed over a Bolero vehicle to the police.
