Niren Tamang, the chief of the District Coordination Committee, Dhankuta, and Nagendra Rana, the acting chief of the Agricultural Knowledge Center, Dhankuta, honored them with cash and certificates of five thousand, four thousand, and three thousand rupees respectively in the evaluation of the Agricultural Knowledge Center.
Similarly, farmers cultivating mango, cauliflower, orange and lemon have also been awarded. Farmers have complained that the award amount distributed by the Knowledge Center is small. They complained that the award given by the center does not even cover the transportation expenses to and from the district headquarters.
Nagendra Rana, acting head of the Agricultural Knowledge Center, Dhankuta, said that the ministry itself has reduced the award amount. He urged them to take the award as an incentive.
