A prisoner who escaped from Nakkhu Prison after taking advantage of the situation arising after the Gen-G movement has been arrested.

Police Inspector Dhan Bahadur Rajbanshi, Information Officer of the District Police Office, Sankhuwasabha, informed that 29-year-old Tikaram Bishwakarma alias Amit of Chichila Rural Municipality-5 has been arrested. A team deployed by the District Police Office, Sankhuwasabha to search for the absconding Bishwakarma was arrested on Saturday while he was hiding in a relative's house in Belbari Municipality-4, Morang, based on a special tip-off. He had been serving his sentence in Nakkhu since 27th Poush 2075 in a rape case. He had escaped from prison on 24th Bhadra. Police have said that seven prisoners who escaped during the Gen-G movement in the district have been arrested. The arrested Bishwakarma was handed over to the Sankhuwasabha Prison Office on Sunday for execution of the verdict, according to the District Police Office.
