The Nepali Communist Party (NCP) has recommended candidates for the direct and proportional representation for the elections to the House of Representatives and the National Assembly. The district committee meeting decided to recommend the names of the candidates to the center.
The District Committee has recommended Dharmaraj Poudel as a candidate for the House of Representatives (direct) seat.
Poudel is the former District Development Committee Chairman and a former leader from the then CPN-UML Dhankuta Constituency No. 2. Singers Shambhu Rai, Teknath (T.N.) Acharya, Nagendra Bishwakarma, Bishnumaya Kandangwa and Lokendra Rai have also been recommended in the same list.
Similarly, Dhanmaya Bishwakarma and Kusum Kumari Shrestha have been recommended for the proportional representation seat for the House of Representatives. Dhanmaya Bishwakarma was an inclusive MP and became the Minister of State for Education in 2070 BS. Kusum Kumari Shrestha was a member of the Koshi Provincial Assembly from the then CPN-Maoist Center on the proportional representation seat. Journalists Gopal Baraili and Sarita Baraili have also been recommended for the proportional representation seat for the House of Representatives.
For the National Assembly, Durga Kunwar has been recommended as a candidate, according to the Nepali Communist Party, Dhankuta.
