A folk dance competition has been organized among students studying at a PABSON affiliated school in Pakhribas, Dhankuta.
The students participating in the competition organized at Shitladevi Secondary School performed dances based on various Nepali folk and modern rhythms. The organizers say that the students' confidence, discipline and teamwork were also demonstrated through the performance.
Eleven schools from Dhankuta, including Deep, Nilgiri, Motherland, Manakamana, Shitladevi, Sayapatri, Deepjyoti, and Sagarmatha, participated in the competition. Shitladevi Secondary School came first in the competition, while Tamorbhalli came second. Motherland and Tamorbhalli came third.
The winning contestants were presented with trophies, medals and certificates by Pakhribas Municipality Mayor Gyan Bahadur Gurung and PABSON Dhankuta Chairman Prem Subba. PABSON Dhankuta stated that the competition was organized with the aim of promoting the art, culture and tradition of the students as well as supporting their mental and intellectual development. In addition, PABSON Dhankuta Chairman Prem Subba said that the program was organized with the aim of increasing interest in extracurricular activities and developing creative abilities among the students.
