A child has died after falling from the railing of a house while playing in Agam Tole, Birtamod Municipality-4.
The deceased is Ram Kumar Karki's 6-year-old son, Riyans. According to the police, on December 2 at around 8:15 pm, Riyans was playing on the railing of the top floor of his three-story house. During the incident, he suddenly lost his balance and fell to the ground, causing serious injuries.
The injured child was immediately taken to B&C Hospital in Birtamod for treatment. He died on Thursday while undergoing treatment at the hospital.
The child's body is currently kept in the same hospital. Police have said that a police team has been deployed from the Area Police Office, Birtamod, for further investigation into the incident and necessary procedures have been initiated.
