The Congress Sankhuwasabha has unanimously recommended the names of nine people from the district for the upcoming elections to be held on Falgun 21.

The district committee meeting on Thursday decided to send the names of nine to the center after the number of aspirants was too high and it was not possible to limit them to three per constituency. The Congress has recommended Anant Kumar Gauli, Deepak Khadka (former Energy Minister), Dipan Kumar Shrestha, Egaraj Pokhel, Pasang Sherpa, Ram Kumar Thapa, Taraman Gurung, Umesh Chauhan and Urmila Pandey Gauli (women's quota) for the House of Representatives.

Similarly, Bina Poudel, Gyan Bahadur Karki, Jeevan Kumar Sundas, Kalpana Karki, Kumar Babu Adhikari, Muna Dahal, Ram Bahadur Basnet, Sher Bahadur Ban, Sita Devi Bhattarai and Usha Karki have been recommended for the proportional representation of the House of Representatives.

The district leadership has said that all the names have been included while maintaining unity within the party due to the large number of aspirants.

Similarly, five people have been recommended for the National Assembly. The Congress has recommended the names of Anjana Lithep, Chakra Bahadur Bisunke, Sallen Nepali, Tanka Prasad Rai and Thal Kumar Likha in the National Assembly.

According to the district committee, a balanced list has been made by including different regions, communities and experiences.
