A truck carrying construction materials for the Arun III Hydropower Project from Biratnagar to Sankhuwasabha has met with an accident in Dhankuta.
A truck bearing the number Ko 1 Kha 7448 fell 150 meters off the road in Malbanse of Sangurigadhi Rural Municipality this morning, police said. The truck driver, 27-year-old Ashish Limbu of Sangurigadhi 1, Dhankuta, was injured in the accident. The injured have been sent to the BP Koirala Institute of Health Sciences, Ghopa, Dharan, said Police Inspector Kishore Tamang. The road is blocked in one direction at the place where the truck fell.
