Compared to the same period of the previous fiscal year, imports have increased by 12.12 percent, while exports have decreased by 4.12 percent. The office has stated that goods worth 8.96 billion 733 thousand were exported in the first four months of the current fiscal year. Goods worth 8.30 billion 2787 thousand were exported in the same period of the previous fiscal year.
During the four months, the office has collected 5.46 billion 198 thousand in revenue from imports and exports. 5.33 billion 6738 thousand in revenue from imports and 1234 million 60 thousand in revenue from exports. There has been an increase of 15.66 percent or 7394 million 75 thousand in revenue collection.
Among the top 10 items exported from the Kankarbhitta border, cardamom, veneer sheets, dog or cat food, ginger/dried, cauliflower, cabbage and broccoli and lentils have increased, while tea, plywood, amriso and iron sheets have decreased.
Cardamom exports have more than doubled. Cardamom worth 3.97 billion 43 million 73 thousand has been exported. Which is 109.2 percent more than the same period last year, or 2.74 billion 41 million 32 million more. Tea exports, on the other hand, have declined by almost a third. Dog and cat food exports have increased by 33 percent. In the current fiscal year, only iron sheets worth Rs 37.883 million have been exported, the office has stated. Iron sheet exports have declined by 97.3 percent.
