A prisoner who escaped from Chitwan during the Gen-G movement has been arrested in Jhapa.
The arrested person is Ashish Subba, 29, of Shivasatakshi Municipality-8, said Khagendra Bahadur Khadka, spokesperson of the District Police Office. Subba was a prisoner in the Chitwan Prison in the case of abduction of a dog.
The police arrested him from his home on Sunday during a search operation. After escaping from the Chitwan Prison, Subba had come to his own house and was living in hiding. After his arrest, Subba, who was kept at the Area Police Office, Jhiljhile, will be sent to the Chitwan Prison.
