One person has died in a road accident on the inner road section of Heldubari, Mechinagar Municipality-15.
The death of Binod Raut, 38, of the same ward, was reported by District Police Office spokesperson Khagendra Bahadur Khadka. On Saturday evening, a motorcycle (PR1-01-013Pa 3336) heading from Bhadrapur to Intabhatta hit a tractor (PR1-01-001Ta 9977) parked on the side of the road, injuring the motorcycle driver Raut and 21-year-old Nischal Bhujel, who was sitting behind him.
Both the seriously injured persons suffered injuries to their heads and various parts of their bodies and were taken to B&C Hospital in Birtamod for treatment. Raut died during treatment, he said. The police have taken the tractor and the tractor driver into custody and are conducting further investigation.
Similarly, Sampatlal Rajbanshi, 72, of Shivasatakshi Municipality-5, who had come to trade seeds at the Kujibari Bazaar in Gauriganj Rural Municipality-1, died on Saturday. He was sent to Damak Hospital for treatment after he suddenly fainted due to dizziness on Saturday afternoon. During treatment, doctors declared him dead in the evening, informed Khadka, spokesperson of the District Police Office.
