According to the data received from the local level, 4,530 metric tons of harvested paddy, 7,793 metric tons of ripe paddy, 4 metric tons of soft paddy and 86 metric tons of green paddy have been damaged, informed Nagendra Rana, Acting Chief of Krishi Gyan Kendra Dhankuta.
After paddy, the millet crop has suffered the most damage. Rana said that 30 metric tons of millet planted in an area of about 13 hectares in Dhankuta was also damaged. The center has said that details of damage to grains, pulses and oilseed crops have been collected and sent to the Koshi Province government through the directorate.
