Shandes Rai, 31, murdered his father, Yubaraj Rai, 69. According to District Police Office Panchthar Superintendent of Police (DSP) Anish Karna, it has been revealed that Shandes murdered his father on Sunday morning.
Yubaraj's body was found in a field near his house. An investigation is underway to determine what led to the argument between him and his father, who had been drinking alcohol, and what led to the attack.
A police team deployed immediately after receiving information about the incident arrested Shandes and brought Yubaraj's body to the Panchthar District Hospital for postmortem, DSP Karna said.
