Transport operations in the Tamor Corridor

Avarudva Tamor Corridor has been operational since October 18. Along with the Tamor Corridor project, this road has been operational since Thursday evening after the continuous efforts of stakeholders in this area.

With the completion of the work of removing the huge stones piled up in the Panchthar Simavarti Nawa river, which is the most obstructed, vehicles and transport vehicles have crossed this road.

Chief District Officer of Panchthar Arun Kumar Pokharel said that after the Nawa River barrier was removed, the vehicles stopped at Panchthar section have moved towards Dhankuta and are heading towards Dharan . He also said that the vehicles and passengers stopped towards Dhankuta have also started crossing Panchthar.

Avarudva Tamor Corridor was being worked on for three days . The Tamor Corridor Project has informed that 3 excavators found in Nawa River have been working since Thursday morning, removing small and large landslides towards Dhankuta and Panchthar.

This road was blocked due to the flood in Nawa River after the rain on October 17th and 18th and landslides and landslides from Chharuwa River to Yasok area. With the removal of the obstruction of the Tamor Corridor, the vehicles and fuel-carrying vehicles stopped at Taplejung and Panchthar have left for their destination.
