A young man killed his wife in Itahari. According to the police, 30-year-old Suman Dahal, who lives in Khotang's Ainselukhark rural municipality-1 and camped in Itahari sub-metropolitan city-12, killed his 25-year-old wife Anisha Bhattarai.

Around 8 o'clock on Monday evening, he hit his wife on the head with a wooden bottom. Anisha, who was seriously injured, was taken to Birat Teaching Hospital in Biratnagar for treatment with the help of the police.

According to DSP Subas Hamal of Itahari area police office, he died at 9:10 pm during the treatment.
