On the occasion of the birth anniversary of Prophet Hazrat Mohammad, the founder of Islam, five municipalities of Jhapa have given a local holiday today.
Today is the 1500th birth anniversary of Prophet Hazrat. Amin Ali, a central member of the Nepal Muslim Association, informed that Mechinagar and Bhadrapur Municipalities and Kachankaw, Bahardashi and Jhapa Rural Municipality, where the Muslim community resides, have given leave.
Since this morning, the Muslim community has gathered in the mosque of the local area and is celebrating by circumambulating the market with banners and placards written on the birthday of Prophet Hazrat.
