After the incessant rain last night, the Kabeli river has washed away two excavators and two tippers in the Sinam Power House.

According to District Police Office Taplejung Information Officer and Police Inspector Vivek Basnet, Kabeli river washed away two excavators and two tippers without numbers. 

The two excavators that were washed away from the powerhouse located in Sirijungha Rural Municipality-1 are submerged about 20 meters down, while the two tippers have not been found. Police said that they are searching for the rest of the tipper. It is said that there was no human loss in the incident. 

The family of Hangmaya Thungiim (Limbu) in Sirijungha Rural Municipality-5 Pedang has been completely displaced after the landslide caused by the rain, while five other houses are at risk.

Similarly, the playground of Mahendra Basic School in Ward No. 7 of the same rural municipality has also been damaged. Ward member Jagat Samyu informed that the landslide fell from the side of the newly constructed building. 

There was heavy rain in different places of the district last night. Locals have said that crops have also been damaged due to small and big landslides due to rain.
