Mangsebung Rural Municipality of Ilam has prepared to implement Limbu language as the language of government work. While the Koshi state government is preparing to implement Limbu and Maithili languages as official working languages, Mangsebung is also going to use Limbu language as an official working language.

called for applications for this, six people applied. The rural municipality has said that the selection test will be conducted on the 4th of August (Wednesday) and the appointment will be made. . Chief Administrative Officer Dilser Rai informed that Mangsebung is going to appoint a linguistic facilitator according to the 'Language, Culture and Fine Arts Protection and Development Implementation Guidelines 2075' and 'Procedures for Managing Technical Staff on Contract in Mangsebung Rural Municipality, 2074'.

Mangsebung Rural Municipality is going to be included in the Organization and Management (ONM) to appoint a linguistic facilitator, he said. The linguistic facilitator will work as a translator in both Nepali and Limbu languages. Chairman Rai said that after the appointment of the staff, Limbu language will be announced as a working language through a formal program in the rural municipality.

According to him, for the respect of the majority Limbu community, the Limbu language is going to be used for working in Mangsebung for the first time in Nepal. According to the statistics of National Census 2078, 42.83 percent Limbu and 33.6 percent Rai communities live in Mangsebung, which has a population of 16,810.

On the basis of ethnic and linguistic majority, Mangsebung has declared and implemented the Limbu language as working language in Ward Office No. 5 from November 13, 2075. In the same ward, one language facilitator (assistant 4th level) was appointed in 2076.
