The landslide that occurred last night along with continuous rain for three days has damaged one house in Hridayendra Marg located in Dharan sub-metropolitan city-3, while more than 12 houses are at high risk.

Local Kaushal Shrestha said that since the rains started, they have to stay awake all night in fear of landslides . Mingma Bhote, a ward member of Dharan sub-metropolitan city-3, who reached the scene immediately after the incident, said that works such as wall construction will be done in cooperation with the ward's disaster management budget and the municipality.
According to him, more than 12 houses in the area are at high risk. The ward office is currently collecting the details of the damage. Last year, when a landslide occurred in the same area of Dharan-3, the settlement was at risk . At that time, the landslide was prevented by allocating a budget of five lakhs from the ward and 14 lakhs from the municipality.
