27-year-old Mahendra Tamang, resident of Phalelung-7 in the district, seriously injured 22-year-old Anu Rai by hitting him with a spade at 8 pm on Thursday night during a family dispute. Rupesh Tamang, spokesperson of District Police Office Panchthar informed that he died during the treatment on Friday morning after being referred to B&C Hospital in Jhapa after treatment was not possible at Panchthar Hospital.
