Two people died due to excessive alcohol consumption

Two people have died in Jhapa due to excessive consumption of alcohol. Police said one was found dead on the roadside in Kankai and the other in a pig farm in Virtamod.

According to District Police Office Information Officer Khagendra Bahadur Khadka, 60-year-old Chandra Sivakoti was found dead on the roadside at Kankai-4 this morning. He said that he got information from the locals that Sivakoti, who was born in Shivasatakshi Municipality-11 and is currently living in Kankai-4, was drinking alcohol excessively.

Similarly, 65-year-old Dambar Bahadur Magar was found dead in a pig farm located in Virtamod municipality-6 Shubbihani tol. According to police, Magar's home is Sikkim, India. 

In the farm run by local Saroj Lawati, Magar was feeding the pigs and taking care of the cage. The police said that he died while sleeping. 

'During the investigation, it has been discovered that both the deceased were consuming excessive alcohol,' said Khadka, information officer of the district police office.
