A worker working in the 900 megawatt capacity Arun 3rd hydropower project under construction in Sankhuwasabha died due to electrocution today.
The incident took place inside the tunnel of Solakhani located in Audit 3 of Arun 3rd Project located in Chichila Rural Municipality-3. In the incident, 40-year-old Karandhar Paudel of Ghodaghodi Municipality-2 of Kailali was killed, police inspector Ram Kumar Lamichhane of the district police office informed. He was seriously injured due to electric shock and died during treatment at the district hospital.
More than three thousand workers, including Nepalis and Indians, are working in the Arun project.
