The Department of Water and Meteorology has asked to be vigilant in coastal areas and around Seuti, Budhi and Kheslia rivers within Sunsari and Morang.
Issuing a notification this morning, the department requested to exercise caution as there is a possibility of flooding due to the heavy rainfall and continuous weather system being active in the data received from the rain gauges. The department has informed that the possibility of danger has increased as the flow of water in that river will increase till this afternoon.
Meanwhile, some places of Itahari sub-metropolitan city-3, 2, 6 and 7 have been flooded. The local authorities have asked to be alert to floods and take necessary precautions . The department has also requested the people living on the banks of the river and those who have to go to the coastal areas to take necessary precautions and safety measures.
