Bimal KC, the forest officer of the office, informed that three people died in Sundararaicha municipality, one person each in Belbari municipality and Letang municipality.

According to Deputy Superintendent of Police Chundal, 43-year-old Man Bahadur Iwahang Limbu, a resident of Letang Municipality-9, died on the spot when an elephant attacked him in the Kopila community forest near his house on February 25. He said that due to deforestation, fire and other reasons, wild elephants have started entering the settlements in search of food and safety, so the incidents of attacks have started to increase.
