23 years after the fire, the locals of Sankhuwasabha Chainpur have got the red portion of the land. Lalpurja was distributed to 35 people of Chainpur municipality-9 today by the special measuring office.

During the armed conflict, on 14th Baisakh, 2059, there was arson and damage to the surveyor and property office in Chainpur of Sankhuwasabha.

According to the decision of the Council of Ministers dated 13th January 2076, a special surveyor's office, Chainpur, has been established to re-examine and restore the same. At present, surveying and land registration work is being done in Chainpur municipality area through two surveying teams under this office.

Harisharan Nepal, head of the special surveyor, said that two teams are surveying the area of 64,000 hectares of four municipalities. Special measuring offices are working in Madi, Chainpur, Dharmadevi and Panchkhapan municipalities. According to him, the 5th, 7th, 8th, 9th, 10th and 11th scale maps of Chainpur Nagar have been completed.

Local Chahak Bahadur Bhandari thanked the special surveyor after 23 years after the documents were destroyed by fire. He said that the distribution work in all the four municipalities should be completed soon. Suman Shakya, head of the district coordination committee, and others distributed food supplies to 35 families.
