Two people were killed in a road accident that took place on Sunday evening in Rong Rural Municipality-3 Pathledanda of Ilam. The police said that the truck No. 1-01-001 B 4547, which was going to Ilam from Jhapa, hit the motorcycle No. Ba89 P 2266 coming from the opposite direction.

Two people on the motorcycle were seriously injured in the accident. Among the injured, 26-year-old Madan Bahadur Bohra of Bitchadchir Rural Municipality-1 of Bajhang and 23-year-old Srijan Giri of Chhedagada Municipality-8 of Jajarkot died during treatment at BNDC Hospital in Jhapa. 

After the accident, Nitesh Budhathoki, 33 years old of Kumay rural municipality-9 of Panchthar, was arrested after the accident, according to Man Bahadur Rai, Deputy Superintendent of Police, District Police Office, Ilam. According to the police, the incident is being further investigated.
