A police assistant habaldar died in a motorcycle accident on Pathari-Kanepokhari road section. Mohan Bikram Dahal, Deputy Superintendent of Police, Pathari Police Office, informed that Assistant Police Constable Jitendra Chaudhary, who was working at Jamuna Ilam Police Station in Belbari Municipality-4, died.
In the diversion near Dansmorangi Bridge, Kanepokhari Rural Municipality-7 of East-West Highway, the motorcycle went out of control and had an accident.
On Saturday at 8:00 pm, an accident occurred while Chaudhary was returning home with his wife and daughter on a motorcycle numbered P1-02-043p 2471 going from Pathari to Kanepokhari. Chowdhury's wife Vimala Dhimal and two-year-old daughter Jason were injured in the accident.
While Vimala's ears and legs were injured, her daughter's head was injured. Both of them are undergoing treatment at Nobel Medical College, Biratnagar. Vimala is a police constable working in police station Jamuna along with Jitendra.
The motorcycle accident happened due to high speed. Kakadvitta-Laukhi road is under construction in this area. Accidents are increasing due to unsafe diversions on East West Mahendra Highway.
