Two children died this morning after drowning in a pond inside the model community forest located in Arjundhara municipality-11.

The deceased were 12-year-old Bhai Gurung and 10-year-old Sujal Gurung, who were guests at the house of Purna Bahadur Rai of Arjundhara-11, Jirikhimti house in Tehthum, Khagendra Khadka, information officer of District Police Office Jhapa informed. 

Today at 8 o'clock in the morning, both children went to the pool in the community forest to swim. After the local residents found out that he had drowned in the pond, he was rescued and taken to Biendsi Hospital in Virtamod for treatment. 

The doctors of the hospital announced that both the children had died around 8:30 am, said Khadka, information officer of the district police office. Currently, the bodies of both children are in the hospital.
