A wild elephant has died due to electric current leakage in Kamal rural municipality-3 Ratuwamai forest here.
According to Jeevan Pathak, Forest Officer of the Division Forest Office, the elephant died on the spot when the electric wire attached to the pole fell when the elephant pushed the electric pole on Monday night. He informed that an elephant's trunk and a tooth were found in a burnt state from the current.
Forest Officer Pathak said that a technical team has been deployed from the Division Forest Office.
