There will be regular flights four days a week to Kathmandu from Faplu Airport located in Solukhumbu headquarters Salleri.
Nepal Airlines has started flying four days a week. According to the Nepal Civil Aviation Authority (FAPLU), now every Monday, Wednesday, Friday and Saturday, the aircraft of Nepal Airlines will fly.
Due to a technical fault in the aircraft of Nepal Airlines, the long-stopped Phaplu-Kathmandu air service has been resumed. According to Bhanubhakta Acharya, a senior official of the authority FAPLU, re-flight operation is possible after the repair of the ship has been completed. Previously, the plane that was flying on one day of the week was 'grounded', so it was not possible to fly to Phaplu for a long time.
According to Tenji Sherpa, station chief of Nepal Airlines Phaplu, the air service of that route was completely stopped from last January to Chaitra. Mahesh Adhikari, a businessman from Salleri, said, 'After the ships started arriving regularly, the need to travel to and from Kathmandu on the 'BP Highway' has been removed. But this service should be continuous and reliable, not just temporary.' In the past, many people had to face difficulties in travel, business, emergency treatment and essential work due to non-operation of ships.
The senior vice president of Trekking Agencies Association of Nepal (TAN) Karma Sherpa said that tourism businessmen in the tourist district are excited by the resumption of flights.
