Protection of 'Kailash Parvat and Harit Hill' (Mountain) located at Arun Rural Municipality-7 Secretary has been started. Conservation and development of this beautiful area has been started with the goal of making it a tourist destination.

Ward president Kumar Thapa said that the plan to make Mount Kailash and Harit Hill the main tourist destination is being worked on. He said that necessary structures are being built along with the footpath for the protection of Mount Kailash.

Ward president Thapa said that a footpath is also being built to reach the nearby Harit Hill from Kailash Danda. Ward president Thapa informed that a footpath leading to Mount Kailash has been constructed here with the five lakh budget received from the state government. 

Ward President Thapa said that the work has been started with the aim of creating an integrated tourist area by including Kailash Parvat, Harit Hill, Gauri Shankar Temple and Sinhadevi Temple. He informed that a children's park was also built near the ward office with a budget of 1 million to target tourists. 

Local resident Tek Bahadur Basnet said that the work being done by the ward with the goal of developing Kailash Mountain and Harit Hill as a tourist area has added enthusiasm. He says that this place has a special importance as Gauri Shankar Temple and Sinhadevi Temple are located here along with Mount Kailash.

'The work being done by the local government in the development of the tourist area here is good', he said. After the development of this area, we expect the flow of internal and external tourists to increase here.

He says that once a year a grand fair will be held at Kailash Parbat and Gauri Shankar Temple. He said that along with locals, people from neighboring districts also come to visit the fair.
