Myung Tamke Salpa Silicung Tourism Promotion Center has developed the 'Greater Mundum Trail'. The Greater Mundum Trail has been developed by the Tourism Center with the aim of creating a short tourist trail that can be easily walked from Khuwalung in the Eastern Terai to the world's highest peak, Mount Everest (Chomolungma).
Lower Mundum Trail from Khuwalung in Chatradham to Tawabhanjang in Khotang, Mundum Trail from Tawabhanjang to Salpasilichung in Bhojpur and Upper Mundum Trail from Cheskam in Solukhumbu to Mount Everest, the highest peak in the world, has been developed. Promotion Chairman Ramesh Kumar Rai said.
'The Greater Mundum Trail is divided into three sections . This trail covers the plains, hills and mountains', he said, 'The goal is to make the Greater Mundum Trail the first tourist trail in Nepal to attract the attention of world tourists.'
During the exploration conducted by Mayung Tamke Salpa Silicung Tourism Promotion Center in coordination with Solukhumbu's Mahakulung Rural Municipality, the features of the trail, places to stay for tourists and the Greater Mundum Trail have been identified.
Greater Mundum Trail can be experienced naturally and geographically from the hot air of the plains of the Terai to the cold breeze of the mountain peaks. From the deer and wild animals of Koshitapu to the chauri and sheep of the mountain meadows and the wild animals of the Himalayan region can be seen.
