Moolghat Chimsuwa road at Dhankuta-9, blocked since Sunday due to the landslide, has not been opened yet. Nepal Police and Armed Police have been deployed at that location since morning with excavators.
Inspector Tek Bahadur Katuwal of the Armed Police at Moolghat informed that the work of opening the road was easy as the rain had stopped. According to him, the road can be opened by noon. Mulghat-Chimsuwa road section of Dhankuta was blocked since yesterday evening due to a landslide after heavy rain.
After the closure of the road connecting Dhankuta Municipality-9 to Triveni which connects Bhojpur and Udaipur districts, the life of that area has been affected. According to the police, the road was blocked due to the landslide in Sirsire. It is said that small and big vehicles and transport vehicles have been stopped on the road since 6 pm. District Police Spokesperson DSP Omprakash Khanal informed that commuters traveling to Bhojpur and Udaipur via Chimsuwa, Saptingtar, Gopalpur, Ghangru, Triveni were affected after the road was blocked.
