A 15-month-old baby was found dead in Shivasatakshi Municipality-8 Manhara of Jhapa. Roshika, the 15-month-old daughter of local Lukhiram Tudu, drowned in the water of the paddy field, District Police Office Jhapa said.
His body was found drowned in the frozen water in the paddy field of neighboring Khagendra Khadka. After seeing her daughter drowning in the water, mother Kalpana Tudu immediately rescued her, but she had already died.
The police are investigating how she reached the farm and drowned.
