The Chief Minister of Karnali Province, Yamlal Kandel, has requested to invest in the tourism sector of Karnali.
After viewing the skywalk at Bhedetar today, he said that he is ready for unnecessary facilitation by asking the construction company Wonders Amusement Parks & Attractions Pvt. Ltd. to invest in Karnali Province as well, mentioning that there is a great potential for adventure tourism.
'It is a great pleasure to observe on the skywalk, I experienced a mixture of fear and happiness. I want the construction company to invest for the development of tourism in Karnali province, the provincial government is ready to facilitate this, said Chief Minister Kandel. He also responded that he experienced fear and happiness while walking on the skywalk.
A skywalk has been constructed at Charles Point in Bhedetar, the confluence of Dhankuta's Sangurigarhi Rural Municipality-4 and Dharan Sub-Metropolitan City-6 at a cost of Rs 20 crore. Sunil Bhusal, the director of Skywalk Vedetaar, said that after the construction of the skywalk, the tourist activity here has increased.
From the skywalk, one can see the scenic view of Bhedeghatar Bazar, Dharan to Itahari, Charkose Jadi, Sanopathibhara Temple, Sangurigarhi etc. A fee of Rs 500 per person has been fixed to experience the skywalk. 33 mm glass has been used in the
skywalk and around 100 people have been directly and indirectly employed through the project. Sanjeev Rocca, Managing Director of Skywalk Bhedetar, said that along with the natives, Indian and Bangladeshi tourists come here.
UML propaganda department head Rajendra Gautam, UML leader Vishal Bhattarai, Yagyaraj Sunuwar, Koshi state assembly member Niran Rai, Sangurigarhi rural municipality chief Jitendra Rumdali and others were present in the skywalk.
