In the UML's brother organization National Youth Union Taplejung, two groups clashed over chairs. The clash occurred when the secretary did not agree during the district convention.

After announcing the single name by the chairman board, the participants in the hall were applauded and there was a chair fight on Thursday night. According to Deepak Dhital, a member of the chairman board, the closed session was postponed on Thursday night to start from 12 noon on Friday. However, on Friday, after the presidency did not close the session and the party office was not opened, the disgruntled group held a press conference and demanded that the process be carried out immediately. 

Rashtriya Yuva Sangh Deputy Secretary Naveen Regmi, Treasurer Prakash Aveng and former district committee member Dilkumar Sunuwar have published a statement and demanded to increase the process. 

They have said that names were forcibly removed in the UML district convention held on 20th January 2080. Dambardhwaj Tumbahamfe and Bal Bahadur Samsohang competed in the party convention held on March 20, 2080. Tumbahamfe's group was victorious while Samsohang's group was defeated . After that two groups are active in the district . Samsohang Group was also ready to consider Manik Tumbahamfe as the president of Tumbahamfe Group . They proposed to keep Dilkumar Sunuwar of their group as vice president and Prakash Aveng as secretary.
