After the murder, they agreed to pay 20,000, but they did not receive the money
According to the police investigation, 72-year-old Meen Bahadur Kumal was killed by his own daughter-in-law and granddaughter in Tumlingtar, Khandbari Municipality-9 of Sankhuwasabha.
DSP Daksh Kumar Basnet said that it was seen during the investigation that Meen Bahadur's daughter-in-law had used a minor to give 20,000 to her. As three of them are minors, the police held a press conference on Friday and released only the 45-year-old daughter-in-law.
The police have arrested 13-year-old granddaughter and 17-year-old Kishir for being involved in the murder. The two arrested are laborers. After the murder, they agreed to pay 20,000, but they did not receive the money. According to the police, they committed the murder by covering up the chance of being drunk.
They have given a statement to the police that they strangled their granddaughter and daughter-in-law in a plan. The police also mobilized a trained dog during the investigation to arrest them. The four arrested persons have been remanded in the district court Sankhuwasabha and the police are investigating.
The deceased Meen Bahadur had spent 5 years in prison after killing a villager in October 2059. He then also hit his own son. The son has been in Qatar for some years for foreign employment.
