After the terrorist attack in Pahalgam in Jammu and Kashmir state of India, vigilance has been increased in the Nepal-India border area here.
Chief District Officer Dharmendra Kumar Mishra informed that the vigilance has been increased to prevent any unwanted activities due to the open border.
In addition to inspecting the Nepal-India border area in Barju, Harinagar and Kosi Rural Municipality of the district, he said that the security vigilance has been increased.
The Armed Police, Nepal Police and Indian Border Security Force (SSB) team conducted joint patrols and allowed people to move through the border area only after checking them, said the Armed Police Superintendent Nirmal Kumar Thapa.
