The Khandbari Bhotkhola road section under the North South Koshi Highway has been operational. After the removal of the landslide, the blocked traffic has resumed after almost 10 hours.

Wednesday At 6:30 in the morning, the flood that came along with incessant rain caused a landslide in Makalu rural municipality-3 Alphatte of Khandbari Bhotkhola road section under the North South Koshi highway.

Khandbari-Bhotkhola Road Section Makalu Rural Municipality-3 Alfatte, after the excavator removed the landslide, the road has been operational since 4:00 PM, District Police Office Sankhuwasabha Police Inspector Abhishek Shrestha informed. Police Inspector Shrestha said that the road was opened after removing the landslide with the help of excavators from the North South Koshi Road Office. The flood that came after overnight rain washed away the unpaved road of Khandbari-Bhotkhola road section.

Bhotkhola section of the highway is sometimes blocked due to continuous landslides in the area. More than a dozen small and big vehicles are moving from Khandbari, the headquarters, to Bhotkhola every day.
