Everest, the world's highest peak, is currently full of tourists. About 700 tourists entered Khumbu on Monday alone, according to Namche, the office of Everest National Park.

According to park ranger Vivek Shrestha, after 694 tourists entered the Khumbu area on Monday, the hotels in the area were full. He informed that there are 686 foreigners and 86 Nepali tourists. Shrestha said that there were 652 foreigners and 151 Nepalis on the trip to Namche.

Everest mountaineer Tembachiri Sherpa said that the tourists who came to the Khumbu region during the summer have difficulty even getting accommodation in the hotel. Amrit Magar, in-charge of Tara Air Lukla, informed that the number of tourists coming to Khumbu has increased due to the increase in air flights to Lukla with favorable weather.

He said, 'Since the weather in Lukla is favorable, we have also increased the flight of ships. For this reason, with the increase in the arrival of domestic and foreign tourists, the hotels here have already started to be 'reserved'.'

Tourism professionals in Khumbu region are happy after the increase in the number of tourists, Karma Sherpa, Senior Vice President of Taking Agencies Association of Nepal (TAN) said. He mentioned that the tourism business, which had slowed down after the Covid-19, has started to take off, and the income of the locals has increased, and employment opportunities have started to increase. According to

Vice President Sherpa, hotels in Lukla, Namche and other areas are full of tourists. According to him, most of the tourists who come to the Khumbu area visit the Everest National Park area. With domestic and foreign tourists visiting the park, it is said that the revenue collection of the park has increased.

According to the park's office, an entrance fee of 1,500 per person is charged from tourists from SAARC countries, 3,000 per person from citizens of other countries and 100 from Nepalis.

Susma Rana, chief conservation officer of the park, said that the revenue is helping the country's economy.
