Among the city hospitals, Katari Hospital has become the best in the country. Among the 33 city hospitals under the local level, Katari has emerged as the best.

According to the minimum service standards of the government of Nepal, when measured by the joint monitoring team of the federal government and the state government, Katari Hospital got number 88 out of 100 points. Gyan Bahadur Basnet, Director of Health Directorate Dhankuta, said that every 6 months, the provincial health directorate has been conducting the minimum service standards audit and has been the first with 88 points.

6 months ago, it became the first by getting 83 points when the experts in the health sector accounted according to the standards. Khanal said that with the improvement of the minimum service provided by the city hospital, Katari Hospital got number 88 in the measurement made through various indicators.

Pashupati Khanal, Public Health Officer from Health Directorate Dhankuta to measure the minimum service, Dr. Prashant Shah and Gynecologist of District Hospital Udaipur and source person Dr. Team Katari with Mukesh Jha came. In the two-day program, the first day was monitoring of the hospital and the second day was discussion with the beneficiaries and stakeholders.

Since this measure is the minimum service, the monitor suggested the hospital to provide more services. Despite the lack of resources, skilled manpower, health equipment, etc., this result was achieved because the health workers worked with high morale, making the best use of the limited resources  The hospital's medical superintendent Dr. Gaurav Sah said. "There is still a lot left to improve the hospital," he said, "for this, not only the hospital administration but everyone is equally important."

Katari Municipality Mayor Rajeshchandra Shrestha said that the hard work of everyone from the office assistant to the medical superintendent and the management committee is important to improve the service of the hospital. He said that even if the hospital goes under the province, the responsibility of the city will remain. Deputy Mayor Geeta Khadka insisted on working so that the clients who come to get services feel the same when they get services at the hospital. .

Mesu Shah said that although there was an upgrade in the provincial hospital some time ago, the full implementation will be from the new financial year and financial support is currently being provided from both the city and the province. Patients from Katari municipality, Tapli rural municipality, Limchungbung, Udaipurgarhi and Dudhauli municipality of Sindhuli come to this hospital to get services.
