Three people involved in the shooting incident in Sunsari's Dewanganj Rural Municipality have been arrested.
Sumankumar Timsina, Superintendent of Police of Sunsari informed that those arrested are 21-year-old Shivkumar Mehta of Dewanganj Rural Municipality-7, Ravinkumar Yadav of Dewanganj-1 and Pintu Yadav.
Shivkumar Mehta was seriously injured during the firing. He is being treated in Biratnagar under police supervision.
Police Superintendent Timsina informed that the person of one group has been arrested and three people of another group involved in the incident are still absconding.
Kameshwar Yadav, another one of the shooters, is absconding. He informed that the three people who were arrested and absconding were staying in the border area and doing various kinds of criminal activities. Six people were involved in the
incident. Superintendent of Police Timsina said that all of them have a criminal background and are on the wanted list in India.
Raveen Yadav, who was arrested, was previously involved in marijuana smuggling and was arrested and released only a few days ago. The police said that the condition of Mehta, who was injured by the bullet, is serious.
