With the main objective of spreading awareness about the effects of climate change and drug addiction, the message journey started from Kechna (58 meters), the lowest land in Nepal, has been completed with the successful ascent of the 6119 meters high Lobuche mountain through Everest base camp.
This 9 young people from different districts of Koshi region participated in the campaign. The campaign was led by Amir Rai and Manoj Basnet, directors of Trek 8586. The
campaign seeks to raise the voice against drug addiction from the lowlands of the country to the high glaciers. Activist Amir Rai said that this campaign has given a message to inspire the youth on the right path through positive, creative and courageous activities in the context of the fast spreading drug addiction in the society, especially the young generation.
In addition, Rai said that this campaign was carried out with the aim of drawing the attention of the general public to the serious effects that are occurring in the Himalayan regions of Nepal due to the global crisis of climate change.
"Koshi Province Tourism Year 2082" was also promoted from the top of Lobuche mountain. Another activist, Manoj Basnet, said that internal and external tourists were invited to visit the neglected tourist destinations of Koshi province. In the
campaign, Birtamod Municipality, Kachankawal Rural Municipality, Tourism Office Kakdvitta, ESEWA and Birta Jessies had significant support.
