Two people were injured in a shooting incident in Rasi located in Dewanganj rural municipality-2 on Monday evening. The injured are 24-year-old Rabindra Yadav of Dewanganj-2 and Shivukumar Mehta of 1, District Police Office Sunsari police inspector Dinesh Adhikari informed.
Police said that Yadav, who was injured by a stranger's bullet, is in normal condition and is being treated at a local clinic. District Police Office Sunsari informed that another injured Mehta is being treated at Nobel Hospital in Biratnagar as he is serious.
The shooting occurred due to a dispute between gangs related to smuggling and the police said that they are looking for those involved in the shooting. According to the police, further investigations are being conducted into the incident.
