The provincial government has launched a sticker campaign on vehicles to make security checks, vehicle entry passes and tax fees hassle-free for tourists.
In coordination with the local level, the provincial government has said that the tax that is being collected from place to place will be removed. The provincial government has said that there will be no unnecessary checks on the vehicles of Indian tourists during the tour year 2082.
Tourism, Forest and Environment Minister of Koshi Province Sadanand Mandal said that the travel facilitation campaign has been promoted by setting up tourist target desks in Sunsari's Koshi Barrage, Jhapa and Pashupati Nagar along with the Rani of Koshi Province bordering with India. The minister said that stickers will be affixed to the vehicles after completing all the procedures including checking at one place through the
desk. In the case of stickered tourist vehicles, there will be no stoppages and obstructions anywhere, except for security reasons, until they reach the destination and return.
Koshi region is celebrating 2082 as tourism year. The provincial government, aiming to attract 1.6 million more tourists by promoting the picturesque places within the province, is launching various programs targeting Indian tourists.
Accordingly, with the aim of making the travel of tourists easy and hassle-free, the Nepalese side has set up desks at the border crossings of Koshi province with India and started a campaign of sticking stickers.
