The local government is involved in promoting the protection of Nagchhanga, a historical religious and tourist site located in Ramprasadarai Rural Municipality of Bhojpur.
The rural municipality has started the conservation of this site by preparing a detailed project report (DPR). People who come here are often surprised to see the picture of snakes trapped in stones. In this place Rajan Ghimire, a local resident, said that one's wish will be fulfilled if one has Darshan. He says that although
is a religious place with a unique nature, it has been overshadowed due to lack of publicity. Ward President Ekaraj Acharya said that this religious place, which is located on the border of Ward No. 6 Baikunthe and Ward No. 2 Dhodlekhani, has become overshadowed due to lack of publicity.
He says that the ward office is working on the promotion of religious and tourist places like Nagchanga, Gangakhola, Golme Rajagolme Ranibhir, Thamdanda etc. He said that they are searching and investigating Kimbatandi in Nagchanga.
'Nagchhanga is a historical place' Ward president Acharya said, 'There is also a legend that Sakkali Nag lived in ancient times. We are looking for its legend. Along with the preservation of this place, we have emphasized on publicity.' Village chairman Tham Bahadur Rai informed that along with the construction of footpaths leading to Nagchanga, construction of toilets and rest areas has been done.
He says that about 6 million has been invested in different financial years for the development of this sector. "On behalf of the local government, we are working for the development and protection of this area", Chairman Rai said, "Although it is a famous religious area, it has been overshadowed due to lack of publicity. We are now working together to reveal its importance along with its conservation.
Rural Municipality said that it will investigate its development along with its other facts. As it is a place of religious faith of the local people, there is a plan to develop Nagchanga as a religious tourist spot, said village chairman Rai.
