The idols of Sumnima and Paruhang in the tourist Maisyangdanda of Diprung Chuichumma Rural Municipality-6 Chitapokhari have been vandalized. An unknown group vandalized the statue on Friday night.

The statue was built in the financial year 2078/79. "In that place, work is also being done to promote tourism with a budget of about 45 lakhs of the state and local governments," said Milan Rai, the ward president.

Village chairman Lokendra Rai said that after the vandalism of the statue, the police administration was informed and the culprits are being searched for. "The CDO and the police have been informed after the statue was vandalized at night," Rai said, "There has been news that the police are searching for those involved in the vandalism."
