Two women of Diprung Chuichumma rural municipality-6 Chitapokhari were seriously injured due to lightning. Krishnamaya Khadka and Devika Bhujel of Chitapokhari were seriously injured due to lightning that accompanied the rain on Thursday.
Chitapokhari is above Krishnamaya's house and a little below Devika's. It is said that lightning struck Krishnamaya while she was working in the kitchen. Relatives said that due to the impact of lightning, Krishnamaya became unconscious.
According to locals, when the lightning struck, Krishnamaya's house was engulfed in flames. It is said that Krishnamaya was found in an unconscious state when he went inside the house shortly after the lightning struck.
Devika's head was seriously injured when she fell and fell, Diprung Chuichumma Rural Municipality spokesperson Bhupendra Basnet informed.
